Ahava's Meaning

Dina's middle name is Ahava, which means “love” in Hebrew. From a young age, Dina has felt a deep connection to her middle name, not just for its beauty, but for the depth of meaning it carries. Ahava isn’t just a word—it’s a guiding principle, a way of living.

The root of the word "Ahava" is "hav," which means “to give.” This connection reveals a powerful truth: real love is built on the foundation of giving. Love is not just a feeling we hold in our hearts—it’s something we express through our actions. We cannot truly love without the willingness to give—to give our time, our attention, our energy, and our care.

This concept applies not only to how we treat others, but also to how we treat ourselves. Self-love requires the same kind of giving: giving ourselves rest when we’re tired, encouragement when we’re struggling, compassion when we fall short. It means showing up for ourselves with the same kindness and intention that we extend to the people we care about.

At Ahava, we believe that love starts from within and expands outward. When we nurture ourselves, we are better equipped to give to others. Through our work together, we aim to help you build that foundation of Ahava—for yourself and for those you love. Because when love is rooted in giving, it grows stronger, deeper, and more enduring.
